Problems Customizing Themes and Style Sheets

I use FP2003. I tried to customize a theme, but it doesn't appear to have
worked. I selected "no theme," then "customize." Then I proceeded to layout
the features I wanted on my page. I don't see the "look" appearing on the
newly created theme option.

Also, I tried to create my new styles for this site/page, but under the new
theme I don't see them changing and when I create a new syle using the menu
option, it doesn't appear in my styles drop down box (only a hundred others I
don't need appear). Why aren't they showing up?

Finally, to complicate things further, I'm trying to mesh with another Web
site's cascading style sheet. I'm doing an e-newsletter in FrontPage and
certain styles need to mesh with the organization's Web site so that once the
issues are archieved, and they want to change some font, it is reflected
throughout without having to manually change the e-newsletter. I tried doing
the "link to style sheet" thing but I don't know if it worked, I don't know
if my styles are meshing or is they're going to have loads of problems
because it's not properly set up by me. Huge!

I don't get why my new styles and them are showing up. It's madening!

You're trying to customize No Theme? That'd be like customizing air and
wondering why it's still invisible.

You have to customize an existing theme, save it with a new theme name, then
apply it to the web/site.

No, I stated incorrectly. I couldn't have picked no theme because you can't
customize it. The problem is my "new theme" only has text and hyperlink
styles and my desired borders, etc. aren't showing up How do I make them part
of the theme and why aren't the style sheets showing in my drop down box?

When you select Format, Theme, your theme should appear in the Recently used
themes panel under the name that you saved it as.

Personally, I save my themes with as numbers so that they show first.

The theme will be a box that says ' No preview available' (unless of course
you went the whole mile and created a preview) and will have your theme name
below it.

Now, if you saved it and did not rename it, it is the same name as before.

I am not sure about this bit, but try exiting FP and starting it again. I
use Steve Eastons FPCleaner to ensure everything is 'flushed' from my system
whenever I make changes etc.
