I'm using Outlook 2003. I seem to have problems adding my email account. When
I start up the application, I receive a 'Microsoft LDAP Directory' pop-up,
which has Null written in server and user name and a specified port number. I
don't know what to do with this bit so I click cancel. I tried setting up my
Hotmail account with this, and each time I get asked to enter password for my
username, I enter it and then nothing happens. Then the same box appears
again asking to enter username and password. I tried setting up with both
HTTP and Pop3. Same problem arises. When I tested account settings for pop3,
I got an error message about SSL and ports. I have no idea what I'm supposed
to do, as I'm relatively a newbie to this!! And at risk of sounding really
stupid, who is the administrator?

WIth Outlook closed, open the Mail applet in Control Panel. Click E-Mail
Accounts. Select the "View or change exiting directories or address books"
and click Next. Select the LDAP service and click Remove.
