Problems Booting

I'm using Windows XP Professional, when I turn on my computer and it take me
the the screen to select the os I want to boot. When I click the os I want to
book instead of it taking me to the window start or welcome screen (blue
login screen) it rolls back to the os selection menu screen. I've tried to
boot using safe mode but still geting the same thing...does anyone know what
I can do to access the windows welcome screen without loosing my data?

Hi

Have you tried 'Last Known Good Configuration' - same screen as access to
Safe Mode?
