After I used a spyware removing program titled Ad-Ware 6
and deleting the files it quarantined I encountered blank
areas on the web pages being loaded by the IE 6 browser.
They are Square or retangle in shape, and in the upper
left corner of the blank square or rectangle is a small
square logo, which is made up of 3 different geometric
shapes that are different colored. There is a red Square,
a green circle, and a blue triangle. I have no idea what
the Ad-Ware 6 program screwed up when I deleted the files
it selected, but if any one out there does could you
please send me a reply. I am unable to do a system
restore because it was disabled. I operate windows ME, on
a Toshiba Satellite 2805 S201 with an Intel celeron 650
MHZ PR on a 6 GIG HD. Can anyone please help me?

I for one have never heard of AdAware causing this problem, Greg.

Did you use the Quarantine option to create a backup after your first scan?

I do not believe that Ad-Aware will prevent graphic downloads on the
page. SpyBot, OTOH, will do this when the graphic is accompanied by a
tracking cookie. This happens if one chooses "immunize".
