problems after update

used windows update this morning now cpu wont show the start bar also say's
no printer is loaded and printer spooler is not running. Have restarted
several times and this does not help. Also very slow on loading during
restart compared to previous. Any thoughts?

Not exactly the place for printers, but .... Make sure you have the latest
drivers from your manufacturer's website and re-install them.
