Problems after SP4 install

I have had numerous problems after applying SP4. I had to
re-install the OS (in repair mode) to get some stuff fixed
but I still have these problems:

1. Error events ID 20071, 20151, 20063, 7023
2. Extremely slow shutdown (4-5 minutes) after SP4. It was
like 10-20 seconds with SP3
3. Scripts cannot run on some web pages
4. Links to applications in HELP files don't work (like
link to open "Control Panel" from a help file).
5. Cannot install Security Update for Microsoft VM
6. Overall slow down of the system (very stable and fast
prior to SP4) on an Athlon 2800+.

Unfortunately I decided not to archive SP3 files and
cannot uninstall. I never had problems with SP3 or SP2,
but this SP4 is as buggy as hell and I would recommend to
wait for another SP before doing this update.

Any help is appreciated.

Well, first, running a repair install over a later service pack is not a good thing to do. I'm surprised it is working as well as
it is. When you don't back up the last service pack and need to get rid of a botched service pack install, it is best to install
clean and use the last service pack that worked for you.

I was not able to boot after SP4 and an unistall of one
hotfix (not too sure which one). So, I had no choice but
to do the repair to be able to boot.

Is there anything else that I can do to fix my issues? I
actually installed SP4 on a couple of other machines and
on BOTH I noticed the VERY LONG shutdown.
