Problems after migrating to new C: drive

My C: drive was full so I have just completed step one of migrating to a
larger disk.

I used Western Digital's Data Lifeguard tool to move the contents of my old
drive to the new disk and to make it bootable. The good news is that almost
everything worked well. I have a system that boots and runs apparently
normally, but there are a couple of little things . . .

Office is dead. When I try to start Office 2003 Pro, I get a dialog box
suggesting that I put in the Setup disk and run repair. That doesn't work.
Setup tries to locate a file that is neither on the old C: drive nor is it on
the Office CDs.

OK. I tried to remove Office so that I could do a reinstall. The
Add/Remove function in the Control Panel can't remove it either. It too
reports that a critical file is missing.

I think I remember that Microsoft has a tool that will remove apps. Can
anyone identify that and tell me where on the MS web site I can find it? Or,
any ideas for getting Office remover or making the Setup program do a repair?

Thanks,

Joe

Sorry to hear about your problems. The link below is to how to use a utility
from Microsoft that will attempt to clean up such. I have not used it myself
so I can not offer any tricks or traps on using it. I would also suggest
posting in one or more [use crosspost if more than one] of the Office
newsgroups to see if anyone there has any advice on how to proceed.

Steve,

Thanks again (I believe you repled to another query when I was contemplating
this upgrade). I'll check the Office groups.
