Problems after defraging

Have just done first defragmenting with Windows XP -
successful.
Now three small things happening I do not understand :-
1. On doing disc clean up I now have "Setup Log Files 720
kb showing and I do not know whether it is safe to delete
these. Have done a search but do not understand one word
of search results.
2. I usually have photo of two grandchildren on desk top -
on knocking off screenwaver to do defrag the desktop photo
went. Now when I try to put anything on desktop it will
only "stretch" and not tile or centre - not really
important but do not understand reason for this.
3. In My Pictures I have lost the titles of all my
folders - can see them when I hover over with mouse.
Titles are shown when I go into say Adobe Elements etc.

Whilst sending this e-mail thought I would ask what the
temp file Perflib-Perfdata... is, as it will not let me
delete it, saying it is in use.

setup log files are located where? Usually these are just
results of programs you have installed and normally do not
cause any problems to delete; however, it is only 720kb so
it's not taking up any room. As far as your photos are
concerned, have gone into display settings and selected
tile or center and then click apply? Your folders might
not be displaying the full name if you haven't expanded
the window position to be able to display the full name.
You should see up at the top of the window where it says
title a little dash that you can drag and expand to
whatever size you wan't so that you can see the full title
of the folder without having to hover the mouse. The
perflib data is leftover from the defrag, have you
rebooted your computer after the defrag is complete?
Sometimes the programs are like children and don't clean
up after themselves when they're done playing. After you
reboot if the folder is still in use then you would have
to disable the service that is using the folder. Not that
big of deal to leave the folder as is either.

Good luck
