Vaughan Try

Hi,

I turned on my computer today. Hear lots of ticks just before the black
windows 2000 startup screen with the white progress bar.

Then it all boots OK.

Cannot then open any folders, run any apps, go to my computer, or load
system information. Basically I can't do anything apart from log off, shut
down, or restart.

Pretty sure it is my Hard Disk but though I would check here. I also was
wondering if anyone knows why (if dead) it can boot up fine and then not let
me do anything but not crash wndows.

Thanks

Vaughan

Download & run the disk diagnostic tool that your disk manufacturer
makes available free of charge on his home site.

Thanks Pegasus

Will give that a go.

Cheers
