Hello,
I have two computers with Office 2007 installed. One one of them I cannot
access the Data Link properties dialog box in access. On the working one, I
can create an new blank database, select access project and then it prompts
me if I want to connect or create a new database. I select for it to connect
and the Data Link Propterties dialog comes up just fine. On the second
machine, after I select to connect, Access just comes up with nothing in it.
I've reinstalled office, added ever feature, installed all service packs and
updates and still canot get this to work. it just won't display the dialog
box. If I instead choose to create a new database that dialog does come up
correctly. Any ideas what might prevent this dialog box from being
displayed?

Thanks!
Danny

Not sure from your post if you are speaking about an ADP project connecting
against a SQL-Server or not.

If it's only the name of the server that is missing, then all you have to do
is to enter it manually. This is probably because the SQL-Server Discovery
service or the Browser service is stopped (don't remember the exact name).

BTW, the newsgroup for ADP is m.p.access.adp.sqlserver.
