10 users (win98 and winXP). 2 sites.

all 10 regularly go to www.importantwebsite.com

Today both sites could not access this important .com
instead they were redirected to network solutions web page as if the name
were not registered.

Then, 5 users at site one could get to the .com address no problem.
and 2 users from site two could get to the .com address no problem.
but.... 3 users at site two were still being redirected to network solutions.

When I ping this particular domain name, I get the networkes solution reply.

Can someone help me understand what is happening? I'm baffled.

thanks

Did you try clearing the cache?
It could also be in your ISP's DNS cache , too.

I deleted cookies and history if that's what you mean by cache.

No I mean your DNS cache, DNS records are cached on the client and in the
DNS server untill the TTL expires.

Client: ipconfig /flushdns
Local MS DNS server: dnscmd servername /ClearCache

Thanks Kevin,

I will try this tmw. However the DNS server is actually the ISP. The site
that had the continued problems doesn't have a server.
All of the clients are connected to a modem via 10/100 switch.

I will flush the DNS on the clients though.
