Problem... :'(

Ok here i go...i bought a computer a while back from a "friend" and it's been having some problems...so i bleached the whole system using "Windows Washer"...the problem is that now everytime i try and go on my computer it says "Boot from ATIPI CD-Rom: None" and then it says "No operating system found"...if i had a boot disk i would try and "restore" it but since i bought it from someone else the disk didn't come w/ it (some friend huh...) Any ways i also tried downloading restore disks from the internet but they haven't worked...so please someone help me...my e-mail is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, any suggestions or help will be much appreciated
 
What you need is the operating system without which you cannot get it to work.
 
So your friend helped you out by selling you a computer at I assume a much cheaper rate than you would get in the shops. And when it had problems (as ALL computers do thanks to viruses and inept users), you tried to fix it yourself and messed it up. So now you are blaming your friend for this.

If you paid for a legit copy of windows (around $200 last time I checked), you should have got one. If not, please don't place the blame on someone else for a frustrating problem (we all have them, just take a few deep breaths and give thanks for your life, loves and wisdom). Have you asked your friend if they can reload windows for you? As they obviously had a disk to load it in the first place.

p.s. I hope your friend doesn't read this post, because they won't be your friend for much longer if they do. Then you really will have stabbed yourself in the foot.
 
You can buy legit copies of windows for under $200.. (way under actually)
Just google it and try to find a decent seller.
 
Juat had a quick look, about $140.00 (here in Aus). Tell me, what happens when Vista and office07 are out of beta, does it stop working?

Just wondering if its an option for a reformat I need to do.
