Problem?

I got this error message after a friend sent me a file. Can anyone tell me
what it wants me to download? Thanks.

"The file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared\Final Fantasy 7 -
Advent Children (English Subtitles).avi cannot be imported because the codec
required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have
already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows
Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."

One would assume it is a compressed avi file, maybe something like divx.
What you need to do first is find the type of avi file, then find the right
codec for it, followed by installing this codec, praying that it doesn't
mess up your computer, as some do, then lastly hope that MM can find the
codec and utilise it for editing the video.

My opinion is, unless it is extrememly important don't bother trying to edit
it.
