Problem with Y-Axis Scale

Hi Everyone

Whenever I create a chart (a line chart in this case), the
Y-Axis scale is absurd. Here's an example:

X-values: 1 2 3 4 5
Y-Values: 10 20 30 40 50

When I chart these data points the Y-axis scale ranges from
1,110,000 - 1,140,000. I know I can change the scale, but
I don't want to do this everytime I create a chart.

Does anyone know what's going on? Is there a setting I
can change in Excel or is it just something with my
computer.

Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance.

I suspect you have inadvertently defined a chart as your default chart,
and this chart had that goofy Y axis scale.

To get rid of a bad default chart type:

Select any chart, go to Chart Type on the Chart menu. Click on the
Custom Types tab, then click the User-Defined option button at the
bottom. Select the Default item in the left column, and press Delete.
The default default will now appear in the list; it's a plain vanilla
column chart.
