Problem with Winsock

HI,

While installing a service pack on the computer,
it got rebooted (during the installation),
after that everytime I load windows, I recieve winsock
window that says there's an error, and I need to close it
to continue working.
now I noticed a few problems with the internet after that.
can someone help me to solve the problem?
is there a way to reinstall Winsock?
I know there was a way in Win98.

I Tried it,
also tried to uninstall and install patches for win2k

You could try to uninstall and reinstall tcp/ip or repair winsock. See the links
