I just installed Vista Home Premium on a new HD/mother board, case etc. I
tried to use the Vista easy file transfer program to move my email from an
older computer. I was using a 1gb Kingston removable data traveler. It didn't
work. At the end of the process it said that the data was corrupted. I tried
several times, always the same result. I eventually used a large external
drive. Rather than use the easy file transfer program, I exported the
messages to a file and imported them on the new computer. The messages are
there. The problem is there is also a file called recovered messages with
several sub files. The first file is 10-28-07 21-53-50, the 2nd is local
folders(4) and it goes on. They are all empty. I've tried to delete them to
no avail. They come back each time I open the mail program. There are now at
least 10 groups of these folders. How can I get rid of them for good and stop
them for good? Thanks for any help you can provide.
