Problem with web based windows update

After applying some windows updated via
windowsupdate.microsoft.com, I am no longer able to
perform a windows based update.

Upon launching the website, I am getting redirected to

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I tried the following:

Clearing out allcaches, deleting all offline content,
reset the language in the Tool|Internet Options}Language.

Right now, I am not being redirected to the thankyou.asp
page, but am still shown the following message, in a
collage of multiple frames:
