I am trying to download a game but when it has completed download and ask if
i want to run it now, a message appears saying that it is unable to run
because my video card drivers are out of date or unsupported.

How do i fix this??

Helen_07,

Well, you have two possibilities: Outdated or unsupported. These are two
different issues.

To note what video card you have, right click on an empty space on your
desktop and select Personalize and then select Display Settings. In the
window that opens, select Advanced and note the type, number (like ati 9600
AGP, etc.), and name of you display adapter. It could be ATI, nVidia, Intel,
or something else.

With that knowledge, query the website of the manufacturer of your display
adapter and download and install the latest driver for it. In some cases,
such if you're using a laptop, you may have to find the latest driver at the
website of the manufacturer of your computer. Thus, you need to do some
research to be certain.

after you do all that, run the game again to see whether it works. If your
graphics is unsupported, it still won't work. If only the drivers were
outdated, then it should work for you. Before you do all that, you should
likely review the requirements for running that game to make sure you're not
spinning your wheels.

Another approach, if your system is unsupported, is to install a video
adapter that is compatible, but that's another story.

The message is trying to tell you something...update your video card driver.
Go to the video card's web site. Most all of them have a special page for
downloading the current version. If you driver is, in fact, out of date,
download the current one and install it.

Also, your card may be too old to run the game. You didn't post what the
game is or what make/model you video card or PC is (or what OS you are
running). Providing that information would have helped.
