Problem with Version 1.0.614 and Word 2000

We worked on a customers machine that was having trouble
saving to a floppy in Word 2000. It did not have this
problem until we installed the latest version of
Microsoft Antispyware. So we uninstalled Antispyware and
it was able to save to the floppy once again. This
problem produced itself on 3 machines at the same company
that were all running Word 2000.

You could copy the file to the floppy but were unable to
save it directly to the floppy itself.

The system was also running these:

Symantec AntiVirus Business Pack 9.0
Windows XP Pro SP2
 
Its possible that you could be seeing a bug here, but I am running Word 2000
on my computer with the latest 614 build of MSAS and have not encountered
this problem saving Word docs to floppy. It could also be a result of
Symantect AntiVirus blocking Office files.

Anyway, please post this in microsoft.private.security.spyware.appcompat
group, you might be able to get a better answer there.

Hi John,
How about turning off the scanning of the word doc in Symantec, and then
saving? Any difference?
