Here is a silly suggestion, but who knows? Rebbot ( restart ) your
machine. That program still there?
I have run into the same situation , And I have Had Vista only 5 DAYS.
It says it uninstalls the program, But it Doesnot. The only Thing it
uninstalled is The listing to uninstall them

Most likely what you are seeing is just the shortcuts (in the Programs
Menu); they sometimes don't get removed when uninstalling a program. To
check if that is the case, try to start the 'uninstalled' program. If Vista
can't start the program, then it has been uninstalled. So, to get rid of
the shortcuts, just right click on them (or on the entire folder containing
them) in the Programs Menu and click 'delete'.

Hi johndavid, i dont think it is a shortcut,i go into the control panel then
programs, then uninstall and finally into the programs and features screen and
this is where i uninstall the computer game,it says it has unistalled but it
is still wrote in the programs and features screen. It is not in the programs
menu in start.,so i can`t try to run it.

Some programs 'resist' uninstall when Vista is running normally. Try this:
start/restart your computer in Safe Mode (when Vista begins to boot up,
press the F8 key -- you may need to repeatedly press F8; don't worry,
there's no problem doing that; you will be presented with a menu that allows
you to choose a number of different boot options; choose Safe Mode, which
will start Vista with the minimal drivers loaded and services running).

Once you've booted into Safe Mode, try the uninstall process again, just as
you described below. That should remove the entry from the installed
programs list. Then restart the computer normally (without pressing F8).
Hope this helps.
