Hello, I have a problem that I hope I can get some help with.

Windows 98 Ver. 4.10.2222 A

Over the last couple of days, I've had problems accessing message boards and
other database driven sites because the browser keeps stating that the time
hasn't changed. I've checked my system's time and date settings, and they
are correct, and I have no problems with these sites under Netscape. Any
ideas as to what might be causing these issues; they seem to only be showing
up in IE6, ver. 6.0.2800.1106

TIA for any advice.

Unfortunately, I'm not getting any error messages per se, just weird
behavior.

I checked time and date via command line and they seemed in line. I'll try
deleting my cookies and see if that does anything.

This was a common problem with Hotmail for a while.

Unfortunately, deleting the cookies and Temp. Internet Files didn't help.
It worked for a bit, but now the same behavior is springing up again.

Double click the clock on the taskbar and verify your time zone.

My system time zone is exactly as it should be, GMT - 6 hours for Chicago.

Check it again. That isn't what this is saying.

I'm not sure what you are asking for. I've double-clicked on the clock and
checked the time zone. As far as I can tell, the time settings are exactly
as they should be. What else should I be doing?

Try setting Work Offline and sending a message just to your Outbox.
Then use Properties, Details to see if the correct time zone is given there.
Perhaps it is your ISP's news server which is doing it.

In that case another thing to try for these newsgroups would be to use
microsoft's public server. E.g. try posting using this link:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

That should create a new news account for you. I'm not sure if it makes
any difference when posting but to be extra clear about how messages
you sent with it were to be routed you could change this account to be your
default news account.

Good luck

Robert
