Problem with the expire password of my remote user?

Help!!

I am running a Win2003 domain with IAS install on my DC. My VPN (remote)
user are connecting using L2TP/IPsec. This works great. We have a domain
policy so that password expire after 90 days.

But when they password expire, they cannot log in to the VPN?? How can they
change their change?
Why don't they get prompted with the "Your password has expire" and "You
need to change your password"

1) What is the client OS that you are using?

2) are you using windows VPN client or 3rd party VPN client?
