I have an Epson stylus color 900. I have opened the case, because I
wanted to clean the head (totaly clogged), well, the problem is now,
that I have no Idea how to connect the printer panel with the printer
itself again.

If you open the case of the scanner, a short flat cable will get
disconnect from the panel where the buttons are. It's a bit hard to
describe, but, I think some one knows here what I mean, so, anyone who
knows with what I am struggling:

How to connect it back?

I don't know the 900 specifically but most work the same way. They have
a ribbon cable that connects the control panel to the printer mainboard.

The slot connector that is mounted on the control panel usually has a
locking slide collar. This collar is often a slightly different color
than the rest of the slot connector. This collar is gently pulled
forward away from the slot connector, in other words, it extends the
slot, so you use your fingernails and pull at the little overhanging
ledge it creates and pull forward on that collar to bring it forward.

Then you figure out which side of that slot connector the metal contacts
are on, so you know which way to put the ribbon cable in, since the
metal connects should only be exposed on one side of the ribbon cable.
You place the ribbon cable through that extended collar and push it all
the way in the slot as far as it will go (not all that far). You then
hold it in place, and push that collar back down toward the slot
connector until it is flush again with the slot connector. That
movement of the collar locks the ribbon cable into place. Again, make
sure you have it oriented correctly so the metal connectors on the slot
connector are connecting the exposed metal edges on the ribbon cable.

The ribbon cable should be held fairly tightly in place when that collar
is pushed down as mentioned above.

Thanks, I will try that.
