Problem with superscripting

A client of a client of mine is saying that the superscripted fonts in the
notes pages do not appear as superscipts to him. I don't know what version of
PowerPoint they are running. All I know is that the presentation is running
off of a CD and everyone else but the client can see the superscripting.

The font in use is Times New Roman.

Has anyone heard of this problem before?

Hi Cindy

Tell him to try View -> Toolbars -> Outlining -> show formatting (the a/A
button). Thanks to Steve for that one :-)

I'll try to see what happens when he does it, although the rest of us in 2003
can see it so the formatting must be there...

PPT 2003. Ooo, I hadn't thought to ask how he was viewing it. I'll check with
him tomorrow and get back to you.

Is he viewing the notes panel in Normal View, or is he viewing Notes Pages
(View | Notes Page)?

Which version of PPT?

Hey Cindy

You have the option to show/hide the formatting in the notes pane which is a
computer setting rather than a presentation setting so it would explain why
he's the only one that can't see it (i.e. the formatting is there, but he's
turned off the ability to see it) - press the button yourself and see what
happens :-)

Hi Lucy,

This was such a good suggestion, I was positive it was going to be the
answer, but sadly when I pressed the show/hide formatting button the
superscripts were still there. : (

But I will definately have them do this and see if that fixes it for him...

I'll get back to you!

A sidebar, is the capability to hide/show formating in the notes pane a Word
2007 feature?

Allow me to rephrase- is this a powerpoint 2007 feature, or was this feature
available in earlier ppt versions?

If it is available in ppt 2003, where is located?

It's available in earlier versions of PPT.
Tell him to try View -> Toolbars -> Outlining -> show formatting (the a/A

It doesn't show all formatting in the notes pane, but it will at least show
the font face and size (but not, for example, the color).

The show formatting icon/tool is also on the Standard toolbar.

Hi Guys,

I haven't heard back from my client either way so either they got tired of
it and gave up or this explained it...
