Hi,

For Group Policy Software Installation to work here is what you need.

1> Make sure DNS is setup correctly
http://www.sd61.bc.ca/windows2000/dns.htm

2> Make sure GPO is on an OU that contains the "Users" (for the User
Configuration" to work. AND/OR "Computers" (For the computer
configuration" to work.

3> Make sure the Software Package is running from an UNC Path eg.
\\myserver\myinstallpackage.

4> Make sure that you assign to Users who have Admin access to install
or if not then assign to Computers.

5> If assigned to Computers, then make sure "Domain Computers" group
has at least Read access to share listed in #3.

6> Make sure the MSI is an "auto installing MSI" or if not, then has
an MST file you have customized to make it "auto installing".

Cheers,

Lara
