problem with show/hide

Hi,

I have a word document in Russian, which is translated from English. When I
click show/hide to see the format, the English paragraphs are all showed up
together with the Russian transalation also with {} around the english
paragrah and russian paragraph as well. When the format is in hide mode,
however, only the Russian display, which is right.

Does anyone encounter this strange problem before? Any help is welcomed.

I would guess that the English text is formatted as Hidden, though the
braces suggest there may be a field involved.
