Hi

I have Powerpoint 2003

I am trying to get a slide with several lines of text to scroll.
I have inserted the text into a text box and followed the help file which
says.

"Click the Slides tab and select the slide you want.
On the Slide Show menu click Animation Schemes.
In the Slide Design task pane (task pane: A window within an Office
application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size
allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.), under
Apply to selected slides, click Credit in the list.
Click Play button to review your animation."

But nothing is happening

Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong?

thanks

Daniel,
Be aware that animation schemes only works on placeholders. If you put your
text in one or several textboxes the animation schemes animation won't work.
You would be better off to apply custom animation to the textbox(es) using
the custom animation task pane. There is an credits entrance effect there.

Thanks, that got it working, I used custom animation and it went well.

By the way, what does "placeholder" mean?

thanks

Daniel
