Hi Guys,
I have a Win2k SBS server which has 'Routing and Remote Access' for
incoming vpn connections, and 'Microsoft Fax' for receiving faxes.
This has been working for around 12 months without any problems.
However, as of Monday, it seems RRAS has started answering the incoming
fax calls instead of Microsoft Fax. The only change made on Monday was
adding a new user to the domain and allowing them access to the VPN.
When I open the RRAS control panel, it has a red cross through the
server name, so I am unable to connect to it. In the Event log, there is
an error about a missing Certificate and that RRAS will be unable to
receive L2TP vpn connections.
Connecting externally to the VPN still works even though I am unable to
use the RRAS control panel.
I can get 'receiving faxes' to work by stopping the RRAS service. But
then nobody is able to VPN in from outside...
I'm pretty sure that certificate services weren't installed before, and
the vpn was working ok. Anyway, I have just installed Certificate
Services, it has gotten rid of the error in the event log, but hasn't
fixed the problem.
Has anyone got any ideas on what else I can try?
Cheers,
Joey
