Hi,

i'm really newbie with Access (i don't know nothing about it ;-)) ),
but i have one problem with some .mdb files on network.

Error message i have in Czech, so i will try translate it:

For using object (some path) You don't have needed permission. Ask system
administrator or user, who create this object, for this access (permission).

This is from help:
permission
One or more attributes that specify what kind of access a user has to data
or objects in a database. For example, if a user has read data permission
for a table or query, the user can view or retrieve but not edit data in the
table or query.

error 3033

What i can do with this? Can someone help me, please? (And sorry for my
English ;-)) )

P.S.: NTFS rights are set only on everyone full-controll, so there will be
no problem (i mean).

Hi Martin,

It indicates that the database(s) are secured using Access username/password
security.

Are you prompted for a username/password when you open the database? If so,
you must login as a user with the needed permissions.

If you are not getting a login prompt, then you are using the incorrect
workgroup file. The database is secured, but you are trying to access it
using your default system.mdw workgroup. There should be another mdw file
that is used to access these secured databases. You must join the workgroup
in order to open the databases. The best method is to create a desktop
shortcut that points to the correct mdw file for that session.

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to mdw"
would be the target of the shortcut (with the paths obviously changed to
suit).
