Dear,

I've got a windows 2000 domain with TSE applications
servers with Office XP std installed.

I've got 2 problems :

1. When people using TS thin client get reminders in
Outlook 2002, it appears not at the good time (sometimes
30 minutes late). This problem occured only on TES clients
and not on PCs.
I find a patch in the microsoft web site about Reminders
(OLK 1006a) but it don't resolve my reminder's problem.

2. Do you have a good article about outlook security
features, I would like to hide or disable the pop up (a
program is trying to send ...). I've got an Exchange 5.5
server.

Thank's for your help.

Regards

Hi,

There is an issue with Outlook XP reminders on terminal
server. I did post about this a few months ago and said
that if anyone wanted more info I would supply it.

I'm not aware that Microsoft have documented it yet. What
KB article where you looking at?

Basically, the issue is with the 'FirstRun' key in the
registry which informs outlook that this is the first
time that it is being run. For some reason it always
thinks it is being run for the first time and will
randomnly show reminders.

I can't remember all the details now but I think I just
hard coded a firstrun key on all the TSs and setup a
login script to do the same for the clients.

Let me know if you want more info.

Daniel
