Problem with Query Format

I have the same copy of Access 2000 loaded on my desktop
and laptop. I developed a small program on the desktop
that works fine. When I put the program on my laptop,
running a Query says an entry containing the word Format
is undefined. The Parameter Query entry is - Expr1:
Format([LoanClose],"yyyy"). My desktop reads it fine,
but the laptop won't accept it. Both are on XP and both
have the same version of Office 2000 loaded. Any
suggestions?

Thanks,

Dell

Hi Dell,

My name is Dennis Schmidt. Thank you for using the Microsoft Newsgroups.

Open up your Visual Basic Code window, select the Tools | References menu
option and make sure there is a reference to Visual Basic For Applications.
Also make sure that it is third in the list. Use the Priority buttons on
the right to move it up in the list.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please

Dennis;

Thank you very much. The "Visual Basic For Applications"
was there and was checked, but on that screen I found a
missing OCX file (Axctrl32.ocx) and when I copied it
over, the problem cleared up. It also fixed the bad DATE
() function. Thanks so much, I would never have found
this on my own. This is a wonderful site.
