I installed the Q832483 security update this morning. I failed
installation and wanted to reboot. Now my computer continually reboots
during the boot up process. How do I uninstall the update? I have windows
2000.

It's time to get Microsoft support involved. I'm having a
different problem with KB832483, but I can tell you that
it says you can't uninstall it. I'll bet your support tech
will tell you exactly the same thing. It may be time to
format your hard drive and install all of your software
all over again. It sounds like you have Excel or Access,
which require MDAC, yes?

Mike,

What type of problem are you having? I'm seeing 100% CPU utilization on
Access 97 databases, even when no database operations are being performed.
It's slowing things down to a crawl here. It started after we installed
KB832483 on the target machine. Is this same thing happening to you, and if
so, have you any information on a remedy short of rebuilding the
workstation?
