Problem with Profiles

I am using a Compaq 2710US, PIII - 1.133MHz, 512MB RAM,
running WIN XP Home.

My main profile is running very slow. Programs are
taking a very long time to load. I have tried to
restore, defrag and scan disk, no help.

I created a new profile and attempted to copy the files
from the bad profile to the new profile, however the
computer is telling me that I can't access the old
folder. So I can not copy over the stuff, any
suggestions?

Thanks

Take Ownership of that folder. Login as Administrator from Safe mode (XP
Home)
