Hi! I'm running Windows XP Professional with SP2 and Internet Explorer

outlook express. I have received the following scrip error:

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 228
Char: 1
Error : Class doesn't support Automation.
Code: 0 URL:res//c:windows\system\shdoclc/preview.dlg

I have a problem with open a new window from hyperlink or shortcuts.
A new window is pop up but the windows is blank and the new window is hang.

Any ideas on how to fix the problems?
Hope somebody can help out.

SY

Hi SY :-)

Try the following information and see if it helps:

res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

You may need to update your printer driver. Go to the website for your
printer and download and install the most recent driver for that printer for
your OS.

also..

If still no joy.... if you have any 3rd party toolbars such as Google, MSN
or Yahoo, disable them and see if that helps.

Update your scripting engine. For 2000 and XP go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en
The install includes a new jscript.dl

You may need to update your printer driver. Go to the website for your
printer and download and install the most recent driver for that printer for
your OS.

Disable the script debugging options in the Advanced tab.
Got to Tools>Internent Options>Advanced tab>under Browsing
Check the box next to "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)"
Uncheck the box next to "Display a notification about every script error"

Check your ActiveX controls.

also..

and...

This error can be caused by adware. Do the following:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab
Uncheck the option for "Enable third-party browser extensions"
Click Apply
Click OK
Close the browser.
Restart the browser and attempt to print

If this resolves your problem, then you have some form of scumware on your
system, so you need to do the following to clean it from your system:

Hope this helps.
