I reinstalled my pc, and now I am not able to play svcd's
anymore in Window Media Player. When opening the same
video file in Cyberlink Power DVD there seems to be no
problem, it play's.

How can I fix this?

Regards,

Michael

What's the use of reinstalling Power DVD, that works fine,
the problem is the windows media player codec. Windows
Media player will not play svcd files..

You need to reinstall PowerDVD b/c thats the MPEG-2 decorder that you are
using. WMP doesnt included a MPEG-2 decoder. Do it and your problem will
be fixed.

Power DVD has been reinstalled, I installed windows media
player 9. Same problem occurs.

This is the first time I've seen this, and my pc has been
reinstalled more then once.

alright i dont know if you answered this but, but you just reinstall
PowerDVD or are you saying that it is already intsalled on the system?
SVCD's are encoded in MPEG-2 which requires the MPEG-2 codec that you get
when you buy PowerDVD. Reinstall PowerDVD over itself and see if that
works.
