I tried to log onto my computer yesterday and it just beeped when it said
"loading your personel preferences". so i did ctrl, alt, del, and it came to
my desktop. but then i tried to run a couple programs, and i realized it was
very low on virtual memory and that there was no paging file. so i went
into the ctrl panel and tried to set my paging file but it said that it
created a temp. paging file because there was a problem with the main one.
and every time i try to set a paging file it says the same thing. this
wouldn't be a problem if i didn't have such low ram. i have looked at
microsoft's help but nothing is working. Please help me!

Thank you alot but I ran it and it didn't work. It still says that there
was a problem with the main paging file when my computer started up. If you
or anyone else knows anything about this... PLEASE HELP!

Get XPantiSpy and set it to clear the page file on shutdown. Once the
pagefile is recreated on reboot you can uncheck that option. Did that fix
it?

I would go into safe mode (F8 repeatedly on restsrt of the system) and
delete the paging file (c:\pagefile.sys). The system will recreate it
on next normal boot.
