Problem with outlook express

Hello!

I use outlook express but I have a very strange problem.

Sometimes quite often actually it hang when I look if I have some mail
on our POP3 server.
I can always ping the POP3 server name from the Console.
The plattform I use is a windows 2000 professional.

When it hang it says connected which is translated from the swedish
word(ansluten).
The mailserver that is used is an exchange server

My account name is tojo.
If I use this account name as it is.
I always receive a dialog window that tells me to log in.
In this dialog window the following is displayed.
Server: mail.uht.se
Username:tojo
Password:******

Even if I enter the correct password it doesn't work and nobody else
at my place
receive this kind of login dialog window. So there must be some
settings that is incorrect at some place.

If I instead set my account name to (e-mail address removed) it works better
because I will never receive this login dialog.

It still quite often hang when I try to get if there exist any mail on
the POP3 server.
In this dialog it says connected and then it hang.

After some time I receive this kind of error message.
Servern skickade ett felmeddelande. Konto: 'Min mail', Server:
'mail.uht.se', Protokoll: POP3, Serversvar: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy
Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure (SSL):
Nej, Serverfel: 0x800CCC90, Felnummer: 0x800CCC90

I can fix this problem my self if I send a mail to myself it work for
a while sometimes several minutes but then suddenly it hang again.
When it work I can over and over again ckeck if I have any mail on the
POP3 sever

Does anyone have any suggestion what is causing this kind of strange
problem.

Hello!

I use outlook express

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click

Good luck!
