Problem with Outlook Express 6 and Windows XP

Hi,
Yesterday I configured my gmail account in the Outlook Express. I
already had another email account.(ie now I have 2 email accounts).
Its working fine, where I can send new email messages and receive new
messages from both accounts.

Now, when I am switching user(ie temporary logging out to the login
screen using shortcut ALT^L), the following message is being given '1
unread mail message'.

Such a message was being visible previously when I received new mail
and was left unread in my inbox folder. Now the inbox folder has no
unread messages and is giving me this message.

Also, when I receive new mail the same message is being given, even I
have 2 or more new mail messages.

I tried also to delete the gmail account configured to see if problem
persists. The problem still persisted.

Can someone help me out with this problem.

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, not at all related to MS
Outlook.
