Dear anyone out there in hyperspace,

I have already gotten one answer immediately to a very
annoying problem, and now am once again pleading for
help. Whenever I exit my brower/internet server, even if
only for a nano-second, when I try to get back on (and I'm
the only user, so I stay logged in), I get a message
telling me basically that I've been gone too long and have
to go through the whole log-in process again. Since I am
a disabled lady in a wheelchair, with limited motion in
one hand and arm, this is a real (literally) pain. I've
called HP, SBC (the DSL provider), Microsoft (expensive),
and each of them told me to call the other. Has anyone an
idea of what the heck to do? I think it has something to
do with cookies, but I am definitely not a techie person -
I make good cookies (chocolate chip), but cannot fix those
other kinds of cookies. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks very much.

Sandy, see if you have a check mark in Tools \ internet options \
connections \ settings \ advanced\ to disconnect when the connection
may no longer be needed (when you have quite all internet programs).
If so, remove the check and apply/okay your way out.

While in that area, also see if you want to increase the "disconnect
when idle for X minutes" time.

Good luck!
