Problem with NvqTWk and X800 Pro

Just upgraded to Asus AX800 Pro from a Creative GeForce 4 card

Now I get a RNDLL error on startup (XP - Home, in every account) -
Error loading NvqTWk

I presume it is left over after I de-installed Nvidia software

I have used Regedit to remove references to it in the registry but it
keeps on re-spawing at bootup

How can I get rid of it for good

I also have a similar problem with ElbyCheck and CloneCDtray
re-spawning. They don't appear to do anything anymore since I have
dleted CloneCD from my system but they still appear in Hijack this and
again I want rid.

you need to remove all the nvida stuff even from regestry befor you install
the ati card.
your regestry is still pointing at a a nvida card.
depending on how much junk your sys has on it i would just format it and
start over clean.
it helps a lot to start over fresh every now and then just to clean up all
the trash.
 
That's one way to look at it. Or, you can think of your system as in a
perpetual state of decay. Thus, the longer you can run without reinstalling
Windows, the more time and effort you save...
 
I agree, especially as the system was built from scratch less than 6
weeks ago: so the decay hasn't really set in yet.

Has anybody got an actual solution, rather than just verbal ....

Google for drivercleaner. Works a treat at getting rid of Nvidia/ATI
drivers properly when you swap cards. I've never had a problem with a
machine using this method:

1) Uninstall from Windows all Nvidia drivers and utils. - do not reboot yet.
2) Run driver cleaner and use the wizard.
3) Power down and swap cards.
4) Reboot and install ATI drivers.

directory? Have you tried removing the file?

Or, if it's not present, have you tried replacing the file with one from a
nVidia driver package?

I obviously need to be clearer.

I am getting the error BECAUSE the driver no longer exists; however
the startup process in the registery are trying to start it every time
I boot.

I have tried getting rid of it out of the registry but it keeps on
reappering at each boot up.

I could add it back in - but I don't want to run it as I have now
coverted to ATI and who knows what it might do to my graphics settings
it being a tweak file.
