I need some help with a big problem with my hard drive. EL Monte appreciated.
Here is what I had on my hard drive before this problem.
c: is my primary partition which has Vista on a 300 GB partition
D: is the recovery partition which is about 8 GB
i: was my Xp partition which had all my information and programs I use
because of my handicap
which was 58 GB.
I was working on getting more room for my i: xp partition. I couldn't use
the disk manager that came
with Vista because it can't do it for some reason. Since I had dual boot on
my computer I'd just booted
to my xp partition so I could run Paragon Partition Manager 2005. When I
did I was trying to resize
this partition but then it said I had to change the NTFS file system because
it couldn't understand the
3.0 files system. So it changed it too an old NtFS files system so when I
rebooted my computer it could
not see my i: XP system at all. Not even in Vista. It just shows the c:
and the d: drives and it shows
another partition which will not let me change it.
Is there any way in which I can change the whole hard drive back to the new
NTFS files system without
losing any data? I'm in trouble here because all my information is in the
hidden partition. I just
don't know what to do. Let me know if you have any ideas.
