Problem with Norton and AOL?

Does anyone know if there is some incompatibility between Norton
antivirus and AOL? My brother-in-laws PC is on AOL dial-up. He uses
some recent version of Norton antivirus. He says he can send email
on AOL, but something prevents him from opening any email. I suggested
he uninstall Norton, and try AVG Free and see if this fixes his
problem. THanks!

Two wrongs don't make a right. Dump AOL and Norton. Neither are worth
the trouble.
