I run a small office LAN. There is a Windows 2000 Server
acting as file server, firewall (via DSL line), and
domain controller. There are four Win XP Professional
clients within the internal LAN.
Suddenly today, one of the clients shows a serious
networking problem that I've not been able to debug. It
can access the internet and access shared files on other
computers. But the other computers no longer "see" this
computer on the network. If I try to access a file on
this computer from another client, I get this
error/dialog box: "\\Dell8100 is not accessible. You
might not have permisssion to use this network resource.
Contact the admin of this server to find out if you have
access persmissions. The network path was not found."
How can I debug this? All help will be much appreciated.
Cheers, Bruce
