I'm creating an asp page which have some links to print
Word or pdf
files; I'm using window.print() to send the documents to
the printer,
that is connected directly to the network (but the problem
exist even
with printers that are not). The point is tha all I get is
a blank
page with only the date and the file path printed on, and
the
solution seems to be to give at the account, who's using
the
asp page, local administrator rights for the pc. I don't
know why this
works (and even who suggested to do such thing), but the
network
administrator doesn't want to give that kind of privilege
to a couple
of pc primers (maybe to anyone at all), so I must find
another way to
solve this problem.
Can anyone give some clues?
P.S.
I'm working with windows 2000, office 97 and IE6SP1.
The printer is an HP Laserjet 2100 (the one I'm personally
using to test the page)
