Hi
I am new to Vista. And I have three domains at my work area.
Domain 1 ...is having all XP,2000and 2003 machines
Domain 2 ...is having all XP,Vista machines
Domain 3 ...is havine all Vista Machines.
When I opened "Network and Sharing Centre" (on a Vista machine of Domain
3)and go to see all the machines in the network, I am able to see all the
XP,2000 and 2003 machines of Domain 1 that are discovered by NetBIOS. And For
Domain 2...only Vista machines are visible which are discovered by WSD .
Finally for Domain 3 ...all Vista machines are visible ,as they are
discovered with WSD.
My Question is that....
Why I am not able to see the XP machines of Domain 2 ?
What I have to do to make all the XP and VISTA machines of a domain to
be visible?
In Vista, are we able to discover machines of same domain with
multiple discovery methods?
I am feeling the pain for the last 4 days. After all my worthless attempts
in finding the answers for these questions, I am framing this mail. And I
hope u people are having answers to these questions.
Quick Response is highly appreciable !
Regards,
Dev
