Can you turn internal speaker up is it low

No one can turn the internal speaker up and anyway, the voice comes from
your speakers or headphones.
It does not use the "internal" speaker.
Also if you do not use the onboard sound then you will not hear it.

ok, well having read this post, it makes me wonder:
I was not aware there was an audio feature for reporting messages on this
board.(don't have a manual)
Is there an efficient way to direct this "voice message" to a pci sound card
ie. audigy 2. I would rather hear the experts advice before mucking around
with this, however, it does sound interesting if it would work and be
stable. I usaully hit the power and walk away to get my coffee

As far as I understand it is as said above only available on the onboard
sound chip.

IMO my p4g8x pipes up with cannot find CPU every boot but boots so I always
boot with speakers turned off. I consider the post reporter a nuisance. Good
idea if it worked properly and could be heard though PCI card.

The datasheet for the Voice Chip recommends capacitive coupling to the
normal audio path. Asus may or may not follow the instructions in the
datasheet, so chances are there are no options for where this sound
comes out. It should be output on the lime colored connector on the
back of the computer, if Asus followed the instructions. (For
the Voice Chip to drive the case internal speaker, would have cost
Asus an extra transistor, and every penny counts.)

The problem with the Audigy would be that it won't be programmed and
configured until well after the voice post sound has passed.

As for the illegible messages coming from the Voice POST, the voice
samples are compressed and/or bandwidth limited, in order to save
space in the EEPROM they are stored in. I think that is why the
voice doesn't come out too clear. The data sheet refers to playback
at "Variable frequency: 4.8/6/8/12 KHz", so perhaps re-recording
the voice samples at a higher frequency would help - the messages
might have to be made shorter to fit into the EEPROM at a higher
sampling rate.
