Hi,
I have Media Player 9 on my pc and when I pop a cd in to play it the
sound/playback is very slow and doesn't sound clear and I have no idea why
this is happening. Also, can I download the Media Player 11? I went to the
website to try to download MP 11 and it took nearly 3 hours on dial up and
once it was finished and I restarted my pc and opened MP it still said I had
MP 9 and not 11.
How can I get MP 11 since there's no way to Un-Install MP 9 and how can I
fix my MP 9 if I can't update to MP 11 so that it plays my music the correct
way nice and clear?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
KY

First, I do not recommend you upgrade to WMP11. You are currently
running v9 and recommend you upgrade to v10. You can get it below.
Now, after your download you need to install it. You DO NOT delete
the previous version for it is designed to be installed OVERTOP of itself.
Download WMP10 below to your Download directory, when finished
doubleclick it and it will install overtop of whatever previous version you
have.
Just in case you are in doubt about v11, read release notes below.

I'm using IE6 and had the same problem with no Background Sound in emails and
HTML.

I just upgraded from Microsoft Media Player version 10 to version 11. I
have Realtek AC97 Audio and a Windows XP system. I hadn't any problems in
Microsoft Media Player 10 but have problems with Background Sound in version
11.

When using Microsoft Outlook Express email and including Background Sound
the sound was not working. The Background Sound was not working in my HTML
files either.

I downloaded Realtek's driver update - WDM_A399.exe today and installed.
The Background Sound in my email works but not in my HTML files.

After executing an HTML file with Background Sound I checked in Control
Panel under Sounds & Audio Devices / Audio / MIDI music playback / Microsoft
GS Wavetable SW Synth/ and found the SW Synth slider turned down. After I
move the slider up - I hear the sound. But everytime I execute a new HTML
file with Background Sound it gets reset to no sound.
