BlankI am unable to send a question to a newsreader on on Microsoft

What news server are you using? Have you tried msnews.microsoft.com?

Note - posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in your
news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help.

I am going to start over as I am not real comfortable in my understanding of
posting to newsgroups. I have msnnews.microsoft.com on my list of news
groups. My problem is that every time I try to make a post on the news
reader, the finger appears and there is a red circle with a slash through
it.
Now it occurs to me that if I send a post to this news group it will also
appear on the news reader list. Is it correct that I only need to send
questions to the newsgroup? Please be patient and thank. you.

You're posting fine in here, so I'm not sure what your issue is - I don't
open attachments in newsreaders. You need to send messages in the news
client to the group or groups you wish.....
