I keep getting an AVG pop-up saying that i have the Lovsan A virus on my
system, and need to run AVG to clean it out.

It says the virus is found in the following location

C:\System Volume
Information\_restore{28536C2C-4BOB-9621-51A5103A2556}RP\A0000019.exe.

I run a complete test on my C:drive, and AVG doesn't find it!
A while later the pop-up message returns saying i have the virus!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

It appears that your virus is in your backup/restore. The OS will NOT
permit access by any programs to this restore volume. You will need to
disable restore, run AVG to clean out the virus, then re-enable your
restore point.

Cheers for the response Dan.
I'll try it and see what happens.
Out of curiosity, what % should system restore be set at,ideally to give the
best performance?

0 (zero) percent. Turn it off. ;-)
