dynamic link libray msvert.dll

anyone can tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

Mike

this is really for the live programmers
to resolve.

however, I would try reinstalling
the live freeware again,

as it may correct errors.

-----------------------

it is unclear if you are only installing
the live messenger,

but I would install the full live
suite to ensure there isn't a problem.

------------------------

also, double check to ensure you
don't already have the regular
messenger running.

perhaps, this may be a conflict
between the two messengers.

Live messenger is already installed. There is no other messenger becuase
Microsoft told me that I must upgrade to newest version of Live messenger.
Yes I installed other live extras to no avail. I tried everything including
those from third party and microsoft. This is the first time I ever have
problem with Microsoft messenger after so many years. Now I have not be able
to use Live messenger in so many monthz.

Mike

if messenger has worked for you
for many years,

then it is likely not a problem with
the live programs.

-------------------------

perhaps, it is your antivirals or
firewalls blocking the port /
connectivity.

disable them .

afterwards uninstall the live
suite by going to programs
files > windows live > installer >
wlarp

then run microsoft's online
scanner to remove any orphans
resulting from installing and
uninstalling the live suite:

http://onecare.live.com/site/en-au/center/tuneup.htm

then try reinstalling the live
suite.

be sure your anti virals are
disabled.

I think you mean:

The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located
in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

The program is calling a function in the DLL and not finding the
function in the DLL, so it complains as it should. If that is the
referenced file, is is old, wrong version, corrupted, infected - but
can be replaced.

You copy one from a system that does not have the problem, expand it
from an installation CD, or just rename/copy then delete it from the c:
\windows\system32 folder and Windows File Protection will silently
replace it with the cached version (if that is working correctly).

The current file got replaced with an update, some other installation
or is somehow wrong so now that you know what it means, replace the
suspicious file with the method of your choice.

There are a couple other reasons you might see that, but replacing the
DLL is the place to start.

Minimize back and forth Q&A and eliminate guesswork and assumptions:

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

msinfo32

Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select
All, Copy and then paste
back here.

There will be some personal information (like System Name and User
Name), and whatever appears to
be private information to you, just delete from the pasted
information.

Reduce the chances of malicious software by running some scans.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These can be uninstalled later if desired.
